![]() TOM GABRIELE Arcadia students and staff were thrilled when Mr. Gabriele accepted a position at Arcadia the fall of 2014! This year, he is teaching Spanish II and IV Honors at Arcadia. Teaching and studying Spanish for over 26 years, he has an undeniable passion for the Spanish language. His teaching style is highly interactive, ensuring that all students have numerous and varied opportunities to speak and learn Spanish every day. Mr. Gabriele’s Educational background includes:
He grew up in Rhode Island, and he loves to travel. He also loves sports. Before coming to Arcadia, he taught Spanish at Supai Middle School. While there, he was the boys’ basketball Coach for three years. Prior to that, he coached girls’ basketball at the North Scottsdale YMCA for four years. Each year, Mr. Gabriele looks forward to helping students learn and appreciate the Spanish language and its different cultures. When asked to describe his favorite thing about teaching, he answered, “making connections and developing strong relationships with students”. He sponsors a student ping pong club, and last year he taught a weekly Spanish night class to adults from the neighborhood. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO WHEN NOT TEACHING? Traveling, chess, art, music, and all kinds of sports. DOG OR CAT PERSON? Dog WHAT ARE YOU PROUD OF? I am proud of my daughter who is a sophomore at NAU.
