Numerous Arcadia High School students participated in another Promposal video this year, which was featured on the local television stations. Senior Jacob Staudenmaier, working with multiple other Arcadia film students and friends, successfully created a movie trailer based on Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel” movie in asking Senior Elle Overs to the Arcadia Prom. Junior Dash McDonald was in charge of the cinematography and also helped with editing and sound work. Other Arcadia students involved in the production included: Christopher Smith, Argon Stern, Max Swiergol, Dallas Greene, Riley Johnson, Carson Charleton, Max McCauley, Mitch Arndt, Avery Greey, Sarah Schneider, Nikki Keller, Avery Moric, Luke Belalu, Luis Ayala, Gaby Schorr, and Mikko. Jacob, Elle and Dash were interviewed last Friday on “Good Morning Arizona” about the 2018 promposal video, which was a follow up to the viral Emma Stone/LaLaLand promposal in 2017.

![]() Emma Stone can't make it to the Arcadia prom in late April, but a group of Arcadia students had a lot of fun making a "Promposal" video which ended up going viral around the world in just a couple days. Jacob Staudenmaier, a Junior, recreated the opening scene traffic jam of the Oscar-nominated "La La Land" movie in the Arcadia High School parking lot and rewrote the lyrics to ask Oscar winner and Scottsdale native Emma Stone to the AHS prom. Emma is filming in London until late May so she had to decline the invitation. She sent a personal note to Jacob stating that it was the "greatest proposal" she had ever received and she was very "grateful". Numerous students & others were critical to the successful production - Senior Alli Gooch did all of the filming and Sophomore Dash McDonald assisted with the filming process and editing. AHS Film Instructor Eric Luse supervised the production and was a huge help during the filming process. Principal Nathan Slater was supportive of the project and permitted the filming to take place at the AHS parking lot. Other AHS students participating in the video were Elle Overs, Lindsay Formica, Riley Johnson, Grant Loftin, Matthew Schlenker, Aidan Weber, Max McCauley, Gabby Ranger, Cassie Johnson, John Eger, Dallas Greene & Carson Charlton.
