What is the Arcadia Snowstorm?
Instead of individual gifts to teachers and staff this year, we ask that you contribute to one collective, monetary gift that will be equally divided, packaged festively and distributed to the faculty this holiday season!

Why do Snowstorm?
It’s a way to show our teachers we appreciate the work they do every day. We can join together to help them pay for family gifts, travel for holiday visits and more.

How can you Donate?

100% of your generous donation will be given to our teachers and staff.

Let’s spread the holiday cheer!

The Teacher Walk Out began Thursday. Although certified staff is still currently receiving paychecks, Arcadia's 22 classified staff members will not be paid during the Walk Out.
The classified staff includes - security - cafeteria - front office assistant staff - & many more. Our certified staff depend on their paychecks, and missing even one day of pay could negatively impact their lives. 

Minimum wage for AHS 22 classified staff is $1,848 a day
So far we have been out of school 5 days
We have raised $2,800

Please consider helping out the certified staff members at Arcadia during the Walk Out.

WHERE DO AUCTION PROFITS GO?

Are you curious about how the auction proceeds are spent? Here's a list of some of the things that the PTO has contributed funds to in the past two years to support our teachers and staff: 

• More than 80 Chrome Books for classrooms with carts and training
• Substantial professional development support
• New weights and equipment for Arcadia weight room
• Commercial ice machine
• Multiple professional speakers for teachers, parents, students
• Microscopes for the Science Department
• Extensive Google training for teachers
• Upgrades for computer labs
• Ongoing Advanced Placement (AP) teacher training
• Supplemental salary to staff front office and College & Career Center
• Teacher Appreciation
• Laptops and other technology
• Classroom Support
• Books that aren’t supplied by the district

​Silent Auction Donation Invitation

At Arcadia High School we are able to successfully prepare students for their futures through funds provided by the school district, combined with our own fundraising efforts.  We believe that learning is a continuous process that involves the entire community. We cannot excel without community support. If you have helped through donations or sponsorships in the past, we greatly appreciate it and hope to be able to count on your support again. If you are new to our community, we welcome you and hope that you will join us in our efforts to keep Arcadia High School functioning at the highest level possible.
 
We will be holding our Arcadia March Madness Auction on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Arizona Country Club. The AHS PTO organizes this event and proceeds are used for essential programs and services that aren’t covered by district funding. On the back of this letter, you will find a list of just some of the things we’ve been able to provide in the past two years, largely due to the money raised through the auction. It really is remarkable what we, as a community, can accomplish together.
