What is the Arcadia Snowstorm?
Instead of individual gifts to teachers and staff this year, we ask that you contribute to one collective, monetary gift that will be equally divided, packaged festively and distributed to the faculty this holiday season!

Why do Snowstorm?
It’s a way to show our teachers we appreciate the work they do every day. We can join together to help them pay for family gifts, travel for holiday visits and more.

How can you Donate?
Instead of individual gifts, we ask you to contribute to the monetary gift fund.

100% of your generous donation will be given to our teachers and staff.

Let’s spread the holiday cheer!

The Arcadia PTO reimburses teachers and some staff member positions up to $200 (as of August 2021) for school related expenses. We know it's a sad reality that many teachers and staff feel they must dip into their own pockets to pay for items they need  in their classrooms or to perform their jobs, and we hope we can lessen that burden. PTO membership and fundraising helps to support this critical way to support our AHS teachers & staff.

The PTO also takes into consideration funding requests outside of the $200 allowance from teachers, after the proposal has been approved by the AHS Principal.  Larger expensed items for classrooms, departments, conferences, etc are something that we encourage staff members to bring the PTO.  Please include as much information as possible for a faster decision.

HOW TO RECEIVE A REIMBURSEMENT:

• Receipt copies (either physical or digital photos) are REQUIRED to be reimbursed for tax purposes.
• Reimbursement can only be for items used for the purpose of your classroom or work with students.
• Deadlines - For bookkeeping purposes, receipts must be turned in before the end of each semester for reimbursement. Receipts turned into the PTO after the deadline cannot be reimbursed, regardless of when the receipt purchase date was.

Thank You PTO Volunteers!
On the Thursday-Dec 15th, 2016, before break, PTO volunteers provided chili, salads, desserts to teachers and staff. Mt. Oympus was festively decorated for the occasion and nineteen different crockpots of chili were prepared by PTO volunteers (Yum!) Multiple salads, breads and delicious desserts were provided. Each and every AHS staff member also received a holiday gift and a handwritten note with heartfelt words of appreciation. Thanks to the many, many parents who volunteered to make this possible.

Arcadia PTO,
On behalf of the entire Arcadia faculty and staff I would like to thank you for all your efforts all year long. The chili the Thursday before break was tremendous, the handwritten notes were thoughtful, and the gifts were incredibly generous. We are so lucky to have such an amazingly supportive parent group and we are all very much appreciative.  Thank you all again on behalf of Arcadia High School. Go Titans!
