![]() Arcadia is incredibly fortunate to have such a strong and inspirational teacher like Mrs. Patterson in the Math Department! In 2004, Mrs. Patterson was recognized by the Scottsdale Charros as an Outstanding Teacher in the Scottsdale School District! When asked to describe her favorite thing about teaching, she had many answers. Helping students become problem solvers and seeing them grow through the year was at the top of the list. She also thoroughly enjoys learning about new technologies and social networks for education!
Mrs. Patterson is active on Arcadia’s campus and beyond. She sponsors student-led clubs on campus, like the Arcadia Green Club which focuses on recycling. She serves on the School Improvement Team and is the Treasurer for the Scottsdale Education Association. Over the past several years, she has become more politically aware, prompting her to become active on behalf of public education in Arizona. She hopes to encourage teachers, parents, and community members to vote for people who support teachers. Married for 16 years, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their two daughters. HOBBIES OR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO WHEN NOT WORKING Tennis, enjoying Phoenix, taking the pop-up camper camping, reading outdoors. Her favorite place to camp is Carpinteria State Beach.
