Arcadia High School PTO

Our Mission:

• to facilitate and increase communication between school and community
  

• to promote an increased sense of community among Arcadia High School families
  

• to supplement funding for curricular and extracurricular activites and programs
  

• to support teachers and administration
  

Our Strategies:

• continue to use Newsblasts to provide timely information electronically
  

• attend SUSD Board meetings, Scottsdale Parent Council meetings, etc. and report back to the community at large via email and monthly PTO meetings
  

• plan events involving AHS students, parents and community members - keeping them affordable and focusing on fun
  

• tailor PTO meetings to meet the needs and interests of AHS families
  

• raise funds for PTO programs and activities by soliciting monetary donations from Arcadia families and conducting fundraisers
  

• continue to maintain a database of volunteers willing to lend support as needed to teachers and staff
  

Our Needs:

• financial support of all AHS families - whether it be $25 or $1000, it all adds up!!
  

• your involvement - in planning, organizing, attending, volunteering...you are needed!

AHS Site Council is working on formulating a school-wide policy regarding the granting of extra credit for extracurricular activities. If you have an opinion on this subject, we want to hear from you!

Arcadia Pride (arcadiapride.net)

Did you know this organization supports special projects at all 5 Arcadia complex schools? In recent years, they have donated $850,000 to our schools!! At Arcadia HS they support the College & Career Center, GAP tutoring, and Calculus Camp.

Arcadia Pride sells advertising in the school directories to raise funds - ads are still being accepted for the upcoming directory. Send inquiries to  directory@arcadiapride.net
